Dave, I'm interested to know as well.

Unfortunately, this is a completely pro Gardiner's forum where the competition gets squashed or ignored.

(No insult intended to to Alex Gardiner. Some of their stuff is good, some excellent, and some is naff).

the reach it pole really caught my eye a while ago,a different approach to things and i like that he's really thinking out of the box with the whole idea, perry has some interesting ideas and ones i have already adopted with great success,of course you could say his poles are rubbish and i'll stick to what i know best-fair do's,but i wouldn't knock reach-it just from ignorance and thats what it is fellow readers

The 3 year guarantee is what gets my attention.

Do Gardiners give the same guarantee?

perry's past is a bit tainted unfortunatley,i am all  poled up so to speak but for me if i wanted to purchase soon reach-it would get my money, transverse clamps i know which for me would be a downside to it-would have to try one maybe, the whole concept of the pole is awesome, not heard good things about the angle adaptor but that is very easy to overcome with a bit of thought, again i don't think this country is ready for it yet,we are all stuck in the mud with what we have to offer here in the uk and most won't move/adapt to new ideas

I'm an Extreme man, so can't see myself changing anytime soon.

However the Reachit poles look interesting and have a couple of features I wish the Gardiners poles had. Just curious that's all.

I love the idea of good competition in the market because it means that we get better equipment as window cleaners.  However when you look at the weight of these pole the diameter and also see the lack of rigidity in the video I can't understand why someone would get so excited about them.  Am I missing out on something.

A guarantee isn't worth all that at the end of the day, you may remember other guarantees that were just false promises.

Simon.

I have to agree as I've also looked into them.

No excitement from me as on paper they're not as good as what I already have.

Just to note- there's a very good reason why Gardiners have such a following & such respect, add to that, it's come about with a zero advertising budget too. How many companies from any industry can boast that?

Taking a look at Wagga`s u tube demo on the pole it strikes me as very floppy with lots of side swing so for that, it will take a lot of persuading for me.I must say I am open minded to all tools because that`s what tool are only tools. So no royalty to a make as such.

Its a brilliant marketing ploy getting "wagga" to first open the box, then maybe we go look what he does with it !
I don't know about anyone else but i'd come to view "wagga" as an example of self reliance/ingenuity/resource ? And of course associated him with Lidl too !  ;D
Seeing him do the Reach It gig reminds me of Carol Vorderman advertising them extortionate loan companies somehow. Thats all.  ;D

I'm his business partner, I own a 99.9% share though. Apart from that, I have no interest in Gardiners whatsoever!! ;D

Trial stuff? I WISH!! ;D

Lots of rumours on the net about Mr Perry Tait.

Best one was.....

Taking deposits for poles and then the ship sank from China.

Wrong thread mate, you're thinking of the one armed window cleaner from Dorset.

why not try and get all these pole togather in one place and test them out ????? maybe at that van meeting thing that this site puts on ????

the people that run it wouldn't have a problem about having a clean off ??  say if one person sorted it all out then this same person could demo all the pole with the crowd asking diffent things ???
