What do you guys do in this situation.

I pre treat before cleaning on block paving jobs and now that weeds are slowing down due to cold weather I'm a bit stuck on what to do. Weedkillers pretty inactive in these months. Residential block paving cleaning enquires are still coming in thick and fast.

What do you guys do?

But what about weed growth? I can clean now, but if I weed kill in spring then the weeds will poke through (they need to to take the killer) then they'll still need blasting out or removing by hand. Then possibly topping with sand.

Sim to what Chris said... Apply weed kill now as norm explain to customer results may be limited,  due to slow down of weed growth. Sell them a Maintenance package regular weed kills, add to database contact customer every 3 or 6 mths to see if they require a weed kill.  Two options std kill or + residual.

As for weeds 'poking' out fine treat them when it happens, as you say thats what you need, allow them to die off, dont remove them by hand or washing, they will die down and disappear.

Just clean, sand and add a residual. Explain the limitations as per usual. There are always many variables to the effectiveness of weedkiller, seasonal changes being one of.

I certainly wouldn't be offering to go back and apply weedkiller in the spring.

We tell the customers to apply their own weed killers. If the weeds grow back then they have to call us again  ;D
