Trolley system battery charging - solar option?
« on: March 14, 2006, 04:24:26 pm »
I am still looking at trolley systems and can't make my mind up if I should have a go at DIY or just go out and buy one.

Whichever I choose I will need to charge the batter so - I was wondering about battery charging when I realised I have a couple of solar panels lying around the house.

I wondered if any of you used a solar charging system for your batteries.

I use a small trickle charge solar panel on my car that just sits in the windscreen and clips to the battery terminals and charges the battery while you are out working. Has worked great throughout the window when I would normally have to replace the battery.

WHY WORRY ABOUT SOLAR PANELS WHEN YOU  CAN HAVE FITTED A SPLIT RE.

LAY SYSTEM THAT CHARGES YOUR BATTERY AS YOU DRIVE
