Analog liquid logic flow controller?
« on: November 20, 2013, 03:51:43 pm »
Ello,

Think it's time for a new flow controller.

The problem I have is that it's a digital varistream that I've got, so it's 1-10. Ten being the flow on maximum. The difficulty is that 2 is usable but I would like a touch more flow, and if I put it onto 3 it seems like a big jump and it's a lot more water than I would like.

Then when I'm using hot water I have to use number 3, but I have to put the shut off psi way up to get the flow controller to stay running constantly, then that means I use even more water as the pressure builds up in the hot expanding hose and blasts out when I turn it on.
I like the look of his controller as it's a dial, so in theory I should be able to put it to 2.5, and the shut off psi has its own dial so should be easier to calibrate.

Does anyone use this controller and find it works well?

Thanks

Jonny.

Installed it today.

Setting 10 on the dial is about setting 4 on the varistream.

I used to clean with flow 4 on my varistream and work very fast.

But it was a touch too much flow. Flow 3 was too little.

This little beaut if awesome and as for setting the dead end stop.

It took all of 1 min!

Should have done this years ago.

Going back to analogue in all vans now.

Yep, digital is a backward step - analogue all the way for me.

That's good. Me too.  :)

Wonder how much they will go for? Think mine was about £80/£90 new.

Hopefully get £30 for it.
