[DG Cleaning]

I can't get power to it because its parked on the street.
Last winter I tried a small paraffin heater but that was rubbish.
Any tips would be much appreciated

PROPEX gas heating system as used in camper vans. Will cost you tho. But if it saves everything from freezing I am sure it would pay for itself in no time!

Looks good but its a bit dear.
I did think of some form of gas heater but something relatively frugal on gas that I could leave on all night.

night heaters that runs on derv they do the job nice , its what we have in our carpet cleaning vans , around 1200 pounds fitted but you can get secondhand ones on evil bay 100-150 the same as wagon drivers use when stopping out over night

Hi, I have a wheelie bin cleaning business and come the winter all I do is cover the water tank with two bed quilts and my pressure washer with a couple of quilted jackets never had a problem with it yet. The last two quilts cost me about 20 quid five years ago and there are no running costs or break downs.

Do the same Jaymac cover everything up including the R.O. a few years back it didn't go above minus 10 for at least
two weeks and the only problem I got was a busted inline strainer.

Tried a very small one and it didn't kick enough heat out.

Can you not just use 1000 watts inverter 12v to 240v and plugin a garage, greenhouse tube heater they run on very low 50 watts power..
Surely this is possible no?!?!?

Propex hs2000 is the way 2 go then! BUT i found there thermostat i bit keen even on the lowest setting, so i bought a 12v timer from TLC electrics £40ish? to go on/off every few hours, but a p.ss about setting it, however it doesnt use that much gas from a 13kg propane bottle.

N. Ireland. The winter off 2010-11  temp went down to minus 18 and didn't go above minus 10 for over two weeks.
Nearly six weeks of non stop minus 3 to 4 as well.

I just whack a heater in the van for 30 mins in the morning defrosts everything its sorted!

 i have a little tube heater if it gets really cold nights that keep everything defrosted but i don't really want to run a cable to it all night long.

I used a parrafin greenhouse heater once but never again.  It made a right mess of the insides of the van.
Everything was covered in black slimy soot.
