We get upwards of 30 enquiries to become members per day they have certain checks but with a genuine email address with location how else can you police new members? Who's to know who is a carpet cleaner or a window cleaner etc as wc do ask questions on the carpet forum.

Shaun

Simply, activate only those new members that have email address coming from their www site addresses.
In the case that there is company having no website find other way of verification.

Difficult to see.... idea... could it be filtration marks on a ply-boarded floor?

So until you have a website you cant join that would be pointless if a member of the buying public comes on that's a good thing as local guys can sell to them and the rest of us can educate them on why they should use a professional what we could do without is people trying to use the forum instead of getting a basic training course and then asking questions with a bit of basic knowledge behind them.

It is difficult to see and say definately from a photo but from the shape of the marks it looks like a spillage. Filtration marks follow the lines of board joints so that is definately not the case. Cannot see any damage other than compression but that is what furniture does.
Still worth getting some advice from somebody who knows what they are doing as we cannot give you the benefit of years of experience from a photo and a short answer on a forum.

Often the original floor boards are boarded over with large ply sheets....if the ply joints are not sealed then the filtration marks can and often do appear in a more random pattern to reflect the new joints.
