Can we keep it cleaning??
« on: March 13, 2006, 10:10:46 pm »
Hi all  :(

I have been off the computer for 4 days......and look at the mess it is in!!

I'm not going to say anything about the childish postings and bickering that some of our esteamed members have written.....and i'm glad the moderators have put a stop to those posts.

I will be honest with you all, I come onto this site to read the threads, learn from them or make suggestions......rightly or wrong.....because i am in the cleaning industry AND WANT TO LEARN AND PROGRESS.

However, i do not come on this forum to read the slagging matches that do go on from time to time and personally would appreciate it if you guys kept that to the non-cleaning part of the cleanitup site.....and kept this part of the forum to just CLEANING ISSUES. (I know, even i have diversed from cleaning issues in the past......before i get some comments about that)

Either that or would appreciate it if the Moderators would keep a tighter control on the content of this forum and keep the content to what it is intended for.

I wish i knew how to block this posting so that the childish bickering would not start again!! But what can you do?

Kind Regards

From a disappointed Tim x x

P.S - Karl, if you do ever read this.....then all the best anyway and maybe we will cross paths oneday.....going for the same contract!!  ;D

Tim,
For the past few days, I was watching your profile wondering whether you have seen all this…
There is a line we should not cross…
Hope to see at carpex
All the best,
Arthur

Have you noticed how many newbies have stopped posting, because I think this has scared them off.
I have been getting a steady stream of emails from some of them, as they dont want to post their questions for the fear of looking stupid.

If everyone just agreed with everyone it would be very dull.
And lose a lot of the entertainment value.

Thanks for your comments chaps

Do you blame people for not posting....if i was a newbie on the forum, i would be too scared to comment - or even not bother coming back.

I hope they read your comments there Preston Powerblast and do come back.

And no.....i agree with D Woods that life indeed would be dull if we were all like robots.....however, people come to this site to get answers to their questions.....or find them on the search section......and i am not here for the entertainment value  :(  especially when it escalates to people moving away.

I dont want to say any more......because it will end up being like the other posts  :-X

Regards

Tim

But a lot of people dont just come on here for entertainment, some are genuinely interested in starting up in business and want help and guidance from seasoned pro's.
I for one am happy to help, I dont know all there is to know.
But on the other hand i am very good at my job and with a lot of help from people on here have become very knowledgable.

Arthur, you ARE the entertainment  ;)

Have to agree with Dave. Must of us own our own businesses and a lot of us have pretty big ego's, we spend our days making decisions and telling people what to do. And I bet not one business on here is run the same as any other,  there is bound to be friction every now and then, but that's healthy.
I am sorry to see CMS leave, but I was very surprised at how little it took for him to walk, perhaps there was another motive, we don't know. The name calling was very petty, I've taken much worse but had forgotten about it 10 minutes later.

It would be a very boring site that no-one visited if we all agreed with each other.

I even disagree with Tim wanting tighter moderator control, its a fair site with different opinions, this is Britain, not Korea. All newbies are scared to start with, I was, I still look stupid with every post I write, but its all good fun. If newbies are scared of cyberspace how on earth are they going to cope going for quotes etc.

Love the irony of this thread by the way.

Gary,
You have just changed your avatar,
Is it your wedding photo, taken 15+ years ago?
