Why would you need a 3kl watt for a 1800 watt vac surely only 2 kl watt.

1800 watt is the output power. It will need more power to run it...ergo 2650w on the plate. The generator will have a peak efficiency and a general running capacity. You need to bear this in mind.

I don't fully understand that link because they mention 2kw. I would chat to someone in the know before you part with your money - maybe an electrician?

the output used in the model number is usually the max output , the rated (continuous) output is lower.

for instance my suzuki 2600 efi generater has a max output of 2600 watts and a continuous output of 2200 watts.

As long as the continuous output is higher than 1800 you will be fine .

Got my generated secondhand on ebay for £80 , starts first time every time so worth a look on there if you want to save a fews quid.
