if we are talking about the plastic bottom of the angle adapter on to the screw/ thread section of the pole then warm it up over a flame ( candle, cooker ring) and then screw it on the plastic form around the screw thread

cut off end of the harris pole...take a screw end out of cheap
broom/mop stick that angle adapter will naturally screw on.

push fit broom/mop screw into harris pole opening

more secure fit either tape or drill through pole and attach
with nut and bolt

I am bound to have one lying around somewhere, if not I will have a one where if you drill out the metal bit at top of pole, wrap a bit of tape round pole, then attach the angle adapter, you can buy this part, flip knows where though, but I definitely have one or two, but anyway I will have a cone somewhere if you want it just ask

or just do what garry says, that works as well

Gardiners used to stock Pole End Screws in two diameters - we use them in Unger telescopic poles.

Couldn't find them on their website but may be worth a phone call.

I pop riveted mine when I had one, less chance of hose snagging on the ends of screws and putting a hole in it.

when they realise that ally is a fe cking muppet, who has no idea and has to manage a real budget probably, but hey he was pretty good to ICTFC and turned down jobs because he liked Scotland, so maybe cash is not his number 1 priority, who knows, we will see, hope he sticks it, if he has ambition though, he really should avoid the tax evaders like the plague ;D

for trad use to make the bottom end of a Harris last longer i drill a 1/8 hole right thru about 1/4 inch up from the base and put a thin bolt n nut  thru the pole.    on the middle of the bolt (inside pole )i slide on about 8  small pieces of squeegee rubber

this acts as a buffer when you close up the pole
