I don't mind if it is tbh.
Sorts the men from the boys
that means nothing if the roads are unpassable , unless you mean it will separate the tractor drivers from the berlingos
Lol.
In all the time I've been driving I've never come across a road that's impassible.
If the worst comes to the worst I'll go out in the car and trad the ground floor.
I'd be very surprised if it gets to that though.
I'd agree in the main, however 2 winters ago I was giving my girlfriend a lift to work in the van and went up a main street on a hill with an off camber corner (there had been no fresh snow for a week so I thought it a pretty safe route) and started to wheel spin and slide sideways towards parked cars. It took all my concentration to get myself out of colliding with parked cars. With the weight of the van and the water tank I could not even dab the brakes without sliding. This was in Brighton ffs ! hardly out in the sticks.
I wasn't the only vehicle, even a couple of taxis got caught out whilst I was there.
There were plenty of parked cars all over town with dents and scrapes after that cold spell. That road that day was impassable
Lesson learnt though, I will stick to flatter main roads, carry less water and maybe let a bit of air out of the tyres next time
