I just say (with no tone if distrust or any funny business or anything) for first cleans or one offs we do require pre-payment in full. I've only had one person say they didn't want to pay in the last year or so. Funny enough I suspected a messer. Guess I'll never no. But I'm not bothered...
Did one today where I said that I needed paying and they could pay online or leave cash hidden somewhere.
They paid online last night.
As it happens, he came home half way through the clean today.
Made me a cup of tea and came on as a regular.
I've found it's all in how you say it, re prepayment. Vast majority of people don't mind, in my experience, if you're not aggy about it.
I don't know how yore fixed workwise but as soon as you don't 'need' the money. It'll flood in.
If you're not desperate but appreciate the money, it comes across to the customer.
That confidence is reflected.
Try 'picturing' yourself at that point. Bet you get more jobs like that.
