I am having my arm twisted by a friend who runs a community centre. She wants 75 chairs cleaned and protected. These are single seat, single back type with medium soiling.

Looking at previous threads, the consensus seems to be say, five to eight minutes to do each chair (average, including set up, pre spray, extract, move to dryer etc).

Including a second visit for protector (the hall is closed for a week) I cannot seem to get that figure below a ten minute average. If so I'm looking at twelve to thirteen hours (thankfully only a couple of miles away).

Does anyone have any different thoughts?

The cleaning time we apply to dining type chairs is two and a half minutes. That's with someone prespray and scrubbing them.
We are doing 1050 chairs in a restaurant on a ship soon and have two days to do it with two machines and three men and, they have to be immaculate
Ten minutes seems like an awfully long time. Do you really need to blow dry them?
Five minutes per chair if you're on your own seems more realistic.

Hi Guys

I have done quite a lot of these large chair runs and target 15 -20 per hour.

I usually get about 10 in the first as I set up, get into my rhythm etc but then can pretty much go along at 20 for several hours.

75 would take me approx. 4 hours.

What chemicals would you use for in-tank use. To skip prespraying?

Thanks. I was factoring in a second trip to apply protector as well. I have the "luxury" of having enough time to go back a couple of days later and protect dry chairs, rather than apply on to newly cleaned ones.

I would lift each chair up on a table, saves your back
 you get faster as you go but slower towards the end.

 Why dry them first? Best to apply protector while still damp after acid rinse IMO

Tony, they have to sit in a closed up hall (probably unheated) for at least a week. I did not want to leave them too damp. As it's local it just made more sense to do it in two sessions (my bad back thinks so anyway!).

I will be using my CFR machine so they will not be soaked anyway.
