Do many others on here do this?

The idea is an interesting one but I think there could be many problems associated......
It was mentioned on another thread that someone was selling 650 for £10. For me to use 650 of water it would take 3 hours and with the water / waste ration of 1:3 the cost of water alone to me would be nearly £5. Add to this the cost of regular filter changes the profit margin is perhaps somewhere close to £4.
Do you give a key for access to the window cleaners? If you are not home do you trust them to leave the money? Do you trust them having access to your home? Or do you always have to arrange for someone to be home to allow them access instead of giving them a key.

Who already does this? How do you address the above issues?

why would you want to sell water to your local competition

A worthwhile question. However regardless of where the competition gets their water the competition will always be around. In my opinion why not make a few quid out of them it's easy to do. However my doubts are still remaining if the return is really worth the effort.
My thoughts are more related to the idea of selling water to window cleaners and not actually doing the window cleaning yourself - if the rewards are great enough??

I cant see any mass profit in it really a place near me sells it at about £15 plus vat for 500lt, although a place where my brother lives offered it to him at about 75p a litre.

Yes at those prices I dont think I could be bothered regarding the security issues - allowing people into your property to help themselves to water (hopefully nowt else) would involve a good amount of trust. You would need to sell to about 10 guys every day and then there would be a problem when they all rolled up in the morning wanting water at the same time.
Would take a military type excercise lol!

I buy water . Give people a key if you know them . As for not leaving the money well they can only rip you off once and they need water every day so not worth it for them.
Other then that tell them to call you or make an arrangement routine time also 650 litres should be £20

I get what you mean with trust....only idiots would let a window cleaner around there property with no one in .....

I sell water to some local trad boys that have back pack, a few other wfp pole guys, and a guy that keeps tropical fish.

working out all the costs etc, I sell mine for 50p per 25lts and that double what it costs me to produce

they phone or text the night before and come collect it, and leaves money for me. not had a problem yet.
