Internal stairwells 15 ft clean how?
« on: November 07, 2013, 05:34:45 pm »
Hey guys.
Got a contract which I have been cleaning just over a year, and now they have asked us to clean the inside of the stairwells 3 monthly which are up to 15 ft high. Not allowed to take ladders inside which I would prefer.
Can anyone mention best/quickest method they use. Wagtail? Cheap pole, if so which pole.  The microfibre Velcro system?  Don't really want to invest in the dragonfly system as I don't think I would get the money back that quickly.
Much appreciation of your thoughts. Anyone with actual experience would help!
Cheers all
Chez

I WOULD GO WAGTAIL, I DO 18FT+ INTERNAL COMMERCIAL EVERY MONTH WITH IT. NOT SURE WHAT MAKE THE TRAD POLE IS BUT THEY ARE NOT THAT EXPENSIVE.
WE CLEAN BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT WITH WATER FED POLE WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHT.

If u have a wfp or just a trad pole, harris etc it's easy to fit  a Wagtail. once u get the hang of it,  this is a good method
YouTube has some good videos showing technique.
Unger fixi clamps with a scrim and unger padholders are good too.

we use the wagtail (flipper) cheap pole, get the 5 metre Harris pole off amazon, about £15, then buy the unger connector off wintecs, about a fiver, drill and screw it onto Harris pole, as above we then bought the unger pad holder and a lot if there microfibre pads, more or less the same as the easy shine set up

Harris pole and wagtail.  Easy peasy. If any windows are a little streaky or slightly smeary then nobody is ever gonna get close enough to see it.  However the wagtail and harris pole does do a very good job.
