Installing a new system. Advice.
« on: October 24, 2013, 11:33:53 pm »
Hi, my new system arrived today. Its a DI system from Daqua with a CLX27. Its a complete set up with 350l flat baffled tank, DI vessel/ resin, pump, hose/ reel etc.
I'm new to WFP and it all looks quite complicated to set up and don't wanna mess it up.
Is there anywhere in the north west where you can go for help with the installation?
Thanks

Thanks Bob, although I might struggle this weekend.
How much do you charge?
Also, I need to secure my tank in the van. I was planning getting some cargo straps to do this. Would this be ok?

Unless you have told your insurance company of your intentions NO , The last thing you want is to be uninsured in the event of an accident .

Phone them up and tell them you are planning to a put a tank in your van in the next 2 weeks or so and how you intend to secure it , Then you will have your answer as to whether you need to change Insurer . Mine would not insure me so i had to go elsewhere . MIKE

if you intend to ply liner then that will need doing first, some people water proof it, mine is just rubber matting after that we can install it
im away Sunday, Wembley here i come, if you want can do it next week end and then we will have the full week end to iron out problems

Very generous of you Bob, thanks.
My van is ply lined. Would you recommend that I waterproof it? Do I need to order some protection paint? Also, as I was planning on strapping the tank down, how many (5 ton) cargo straps would I need to buy for a 350l tank?
Thanks again.

try and find a builders/ roofing supplier who sells EPDM rubber roofing and get a piece cut for the van, its about £5.00 a sq mt no more than 3 sq mts needed
