« on: October 23, 2013, 02:15:25 pm »
Im gettinf my van ready for winter and wondering if there is any way of making my pump quick release so it doesnt freeze through the tough cold nights?

Another question aswell- on the yellow garden pole hose i have a shut off valve, im wanting to shorten the pole hose how do you remove the metal clips without breaking them? I will upload a photo when im on the computer later

I would use John Guest fittings for the pump.

As for the little metal clamps on the pole hose, I also find them a pain to get off.

John Guest fittings on the pump is a good way of achieving this and is what I use.

O clips are difficult to remove once on. I either hacksaw the ear off or using a pair of O ring pliers I cut through the ear from the edge by hitting the pliers' handles together on a workbench with a hammer.
