just completed my yearly challenge!
« on: October 22, 2013, 05:37:59 pm »
last new year I said to myself I want to set a goal to remain focused on the year ahead as at times I lose my window cleaning mojo ...

target was a little different from the norm gain x amount of customers by a set date (that happened anyway)

target was simple - get every single domestic customer to pay double their yearly window cleaning bill in add on work.

for example, customer - £10 per month on windows = £120.00 a year. so a con roof clean or gutter work etc would have to come to £120 before the target was reached.

today I finally got the last customer on the list to have add on work down.

Thats quite a fun way to look at it.

What happens if it was £10 x 12 cleans £120 and they have say urmmmmmm block paving cleaned for £200? What would you do with the £80? carry on to next customer?

Not that it really matters just a fun thing really. :D

I redesigned the "pay us now slip" And its a5 in size and lists all services.

Cost about £250 for 5000 including design etc. First week we blitzed about £500 in extra work.

Best thing i have ever done :D

A5 £250 for 5k ::)roll ::)roll

You can get 5k for about £60 - £65 (Double sided)... £30 design max... you would have been £150 up already on what you paid before you got any work..

.......... great idea and effort tho ... well done

To double your turnover from domestic windows is excellent.

Stuff this solar stuff, I'm gonna do that!  ;)

one negative is now all the customers wont anything else done for a while.

on a plus side ive managed to get 50% of them to have it done every year at 10% off ie con roofs cleaned every year with discount - don't mind giving a few quid off as I know its been done well on the first clean so wont be so bad within a year.

614 customers with add ons - challenge done!

we had to spend one day a week off windows tho! but around 25% of neighbours who had window cleaners used us for the add on work after seeing the results on gutters, con roofs and seeing the gutter vac in action. this works well on semi detached houses as gutters are shared ....

one thing from all these add ons - ive gone off virosol on con roofs - great on white bits but dries bad on some pvc roofs.

I have got a fair amount of staining with virosol, but none with ubik 2000 which is weird. Only use virsol on glass roofs now. Well done btw!!!
