`Dry` Detailing,Brass,Bronze,Aluminium wool etc.
« on: March 10, 2006, 06:28:58 pm »
I`ve recently gone back to `dry` `detailing` with 4 zero steel wool,but
Always seem to get filament `drop` and fallout on window sills. On inside
Work its oaky but outside after rain rust sets in and on upvc sills especially
Its not too good. Can anyone recommend anywhere that stock and sell, brass,
Aluminium, bronze, stainless wool at all? I`ve done a search but can only come
Up with a company in Dorset who have I might add a minimum order of
£200 + v.a.t.Now,hopefully with the better weather around the corner so to
Speak there is I feel something to this type of `detailing` as opposed to say
Scrim or microfiber cloths.

Hi Lewis,

Detailing with  wire wool requires the bit to be detailed to be dry, You cant detail WET drips & missed bits with wire wool. So what do you do Lewis, clean window & wait for the drips & missed bits to dry before detailing them?
