Hot system operating temperature
« on: October 14, 2013, 08:51:34 pm »
What temperature range do hot water system users use throughout the year? I have just upgraded to diesel fuelled hot water but I'm concerned about the water being too hot when the winter arrives. What temperatures do you use at the brush?
I have been operating at 45c for the last four weeks with no problems as yet.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

think mine runs out of the brush about 20-30, but I do turn it up for first cleans and doing conservatory roofs etc.

will be turning mine down a little when winter gets here

I don't measure the temperature as a science.
Just stick my hand in the flow if it's warm but not hot it's about right.
Old/thin glass only just above ambient.
Double glazing will take quite a heat but I don't want to risk it.
