Warmest things youll ever wear. £12 or so a pair. Two pairs will see you through winter.  Need two in case you get water inside one of them so you can stay warm while the other pair dries. If they dont do the job contact me and Ill pay for them for you.

Good gloves but too thick and bulky, hands get smelly too.

Try skytec argon. About £6 or £7 a pair. The right balance of being thine nought to use for trad and being warm enough. 1 pair on van heater and 1 on your hands, swap as needed.

im into my 4th winter with the same pair of glacier "perfect curve"gloves from the windowcleancentre.i only wear them on very cold days with liners underneath so my hands dont smell.they keep your hands VERY warm and dry.mine are looking a bit tatty as ive caught them on pole clamps a few times but still useable.

most of the year i wear show 377s.again with liners underneath.hands clean and dry.

i also have some pad ice gloves from gardiners which are also quite warm in cold weather although the knitted wool backs can get wet.the palms are nice and grippy and waterproof.

Whatever you do, do not buy sealskinz all season glove. Today was their first main test and my hands are cold, they are also not waterproof. Cost me £35 aswell, not happy!
Think my next glove will be from showa, the 490 looks good.

You won't find many on here recommending sealskinz. Overpriced and not upto the job in my experience.

Last winter my hands were always cold and no gloves worked

can someone please recommend a decent pair of gloves that wont soak through and will keep me warm ? thanks
i use joka polar gloves with linings, there 100% waterproof but due to this your hands sweat causing the linings to get damp, then your hands get cold ,i put them on dash board between jobs, then there warm for next job,and that helps a lot.

I take betablockers and my fingers get really cold. I bought a pair of the Showa gloves. Insulation is more imprtant atm.

I use Joka Hold gloves - tough and waterproof with cotton liners (available from Medisupplies). Cotton liner gloves are cheap, washable and easily changed during the day if they happen to get wet.

Haven't got them yet. Youngstown don't last long enough for the money, but more importantly, my fingertips don't warm up. It's actually verging on painful. At least this morning it was and it wasn't even that cold. I need someting with more insulation.

D'ya think 40 quid is too much for these? Price includes shipping.

http://www.windowcleaningresources.co.uk/window-cleaning-products/ergodyne-proflex-818od-waterproof-gloves/

Want something durable, warm and waterproof. Sealskinz are made with spun steel?? about same price with shipping but not got a good rep it sounds like. No one tried these?

I was looking at a pair of them on ebay (epic tools is the name of the shop) as well as a pair of 'fox' gloves from the same place, which looked very similar, but were £23.95. I contacted them and asked what the difference was. They said that the fox was a very popular glove, but the ergodyne (proflex), had more padding, more insulation and better quality stitching. I was on the point of ordering a pair, but decided to try the beaver Kevlar lined diving gloves mentioned earlier in this topic. I thought they looked pretty good, and hopefully the Kevlar lining will prevent the tearing issues I have had with other neoprene gloves, but will have to wait and see!.
