Opinons of the public about window cleaners
« on: October 12, 2013, 03:13:45 pm »
I've been seeing a lovely lady recently, we've been an item for about 3 months now.

But her husband thinks its atrocious that she's seeing me and has said "Couldn't you do any better than a bloody window-cleaner!".

Disgusting isnt it what the public think about us.

Matt ,that old saying 'never judge a book by its cover' . People come into this industry from all different backgrounds, my brother started in this industry when he left school , he now owns 5 properties which he rents out, plus a property in Spain. I earn a good living myself so more fool him he thinks WC are lower than a snakes belly ! P.S Tell him that at least your lovely lady soaps your squeegee and not his ! Ed

Dazmond, have you told her that you're a window cleaner?

And let us not forget, voyeurism is an occupational hazard that we simply must endure.

Nature of the game... We all do 1 of the bottom of the foodchain jobs out there where no qualifications or anything is needed.
Nomatter how much we try to wrap it up and put a nice curly ribbon on top we will always be known for being "just a window cleaner".
I love it  ;D.  People out there are so shallow.

Matt I think what you are doing is very commendable. Clearly this man has a low opinion of window cleaners, so by ****ing his missus you are giving him the opportunity to see you as a real person and not some low life with no future. good on ya.

We don't want glam this industry up!   Anyone who runs a successful business means they have brains in my eyes.

I came into window cleaning industry from working in office and I want to work outside and pick my hours.

had the same here , my mothering law hated me as I was just a carpet cleaner , and I wasn't a from a traveling back ground , how ever things have changed over the years for the better , I still go to weddings and family stuff however I will never be 100% family as I wasn't brought up a travler

best thing to do is not get in to his little games , let him say what he likes at the end of the day your the one keeping her warm not him , they will have lots of history that he might try and play on , just beyourself its that simple ! she fell for you as you were so don't turn in to a green eyed monster that wants to know what shes doing of every minute of everyday  ;) and you will be ok  ;D
