Can anyone identify this pole
« on: October 12, 2013, 01:22:24 pm »

Got a long way to travel to get this 72ft pole if it turns out not to be what I want.

The owner thinks it is carbon fibre. But doesn't sound too sure and doesn't seem to know the manufacturer. It cost 2K when he got it from Aqua Factor.
Checking they seem to deal in Tucker poles, which I think I'm right in thinking are aluminium. Looking at it though I'd say it was glass fibre, cause it looks like my orange glass fibre pole. For me I only want carbon fibre over 3 storys.

Anyway one of you guys may have the same pole and be able to tell me what it is. Cheers

This is an N-Tech X-Tel Carbon Fibre 72ft pole. Aquafactors are Tucker importers but for this height pole they buy in and fit their own top gooseneck and Tucker brush to Carbon X-Tel poles.

Closed length is 3.03m
Maximum Extended Length is 24m
Pole Weight is 7kg (not inc. gooseneck and brush)
The handle section is Fibre Glass for safety and the rest is Carbon Fibre

I've just sold the Ionic version of this pole.
It is big. And yes, it's quite heavy but you soon get used to it.
The guy I sold to is in the same boat I used to be.
1 or 2 big jobs a year. Couldn't justify spending a shed load on an Extreme as it isn't getting the use.
As with most things-you'd soon get the hang of it.
And yeah, you do need to have pretty good upper body strength to use it.
