They sell these in WCW

 http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/shop/index.php?option=com_aceshop&route=product/product&product_id=4173

however i dont like the idea of the pole hose dangling all over the place when its not fully extended. I know lots of people rave about the aquadapter, i personally just use a tap atm but will prob get one of these next.

I used the tap for a while, like you, and got fed up with it. Then I attached the tap to my pole and got fed up with the loop of hose it created. Now I use an Aqua-dapter which is very good but there is some noticeable weight on the pole, especially when angled over connies etc.
See if someone locally has an Aqua-dapter you can look at.
Hopefully someone will bring out a decent remote control pump controller.

Micheal.  The hose is not outside the pole,
This item is a clamp that you place the hose which comes out of the end of the pole into.
Then when you squeeze the trigger it nips the hose stopping the water flow.
This one is too expensive for what it is. Have seen them a lot cheaper than this.
The problem with any trigger is that it restricts where you can hold the pole as your hand needs to be at a fixed
point to operate it.
Like everything some like it this way and some don't.

Tried taps, they will eventually leak if left on the floor,  Triggers were better but the loop is a pain, also you are restricted to holding the bottom of the pole all the time to squeeze the trigger.

Finished up with aqua dapter, wouldn't use anything else. MK3 XL is neither here nor there in weight..

michael you pull the hose at the bottom of the pole to turn water on and off or the wheel at the brush end if cleaning ground floor windows.trust me mate its by far the smoothest, easiest way to control your water.most window cleaners love em.allows you to work very efficiently and fast. ;) :)

Are you filling them with helium?

By the way, the links you send out on your emails don't work. Sorry Steven, but as an A/D fan its important to pay attention to the detail. This happened when you posted a link on another forum and someone else corrected it for you. So it isn't a one of.

I think the extreme poles are another ballgame. The A/D's work great on our SLX's.

http://www.cleaningspot.co.uk/acatalog/Pole_accessories.html#a532TVM

I have a few of the 532TV plastic clamp versions and they are excellent.
It cut my water use in half because it is so controllable.
The loop is annoying but I found that two sliding velcro strips over the pole keep the loop off the ground and under control.
The main advantage is that the hose connects to the trigger on the pole and the connectors don't get damaged as they're not dragged along the floor.
I've tried the dearer triggers as well and found that the one above is the best so far.
