Just wondering what peoples experiences are of using a canvasser.

I used one about 6 months ago, and although they did get the quantity, the quality of work was very poor.
In a week of canvassing I got £500 worth of work. Unfortunately today I am lucky to have £75 of that work.

I lost a lot of it in the first month because the canvasser had promised customers soffit and fascia cleans etc, to be included in window cleaning price. Also there were a lot of messers who I had to drop for not paying. This I feel was due to areas canvassed suiting the canvassers needs but not mine.

So I would like to know if you think that using a canvasser can ever work as their agenda isn't the same as ours, i.e. we are looking for quality they are looking for quantity.

im in process of upsizing my round so doing the canvassing myself along with a part time employee who will go full time when xx amount is reached so arounf Feb next year we wont be able to canvass however by then hope to have my own canvasser in place who will be trained by me to go after the houses we like and at correct prices - having a laminated price menu will help.

If you have the drive then do it yourself.
Dont give any money to a door to canvasser.you know your area,you know your target market and you the prices.
You should do it yourself or do it alongside somebody else.
Never pay over inflated money to canvassers who can be saying anything at the doors to get them to sign up.

Your right enough. Done some canvassing with reasonable results, it's just finding the time and motivation.
That said I suppose the thought of using a canvasser again should be motivation enough to do it yourself.

Go out canvassing and money of all first clean stick in a sealed box and after 6 months count it and book a holiday.
Why give money to a canvasser.

good idea or even the vale of 2 cleans as thats what a min most canvassers charge

I feel your pain buddy been there ! It's a pain customers will most times say anything on the door to get those windows cleaned the problem is us realising it, you will just have to stick at it also are you doing 2 monthlys or at least 6 weeks that £75 sounds quite low , I wouldn't blame people for canceling on a monthly maybe your stick rate would have doubled?

With regards to canvasser results I think its a numbers game
I havnt had canvassed work in maybe a year so
Hopefully some one els might be able to tell you there expirice
About a canvasser they have used .
Try and stay motivated !

It would be a nice bonus in 6 months.even at 1 clean should be a grand in there.

I will be canvassing like mad and putting the first cleans in a sealed money box and open in march for my stag holiday,see if I can bang a grand in there!
