My job price average is a little over £11 So no 'massive' properties
Where the 5000 leaflets delivered in one massive drop? NO
Some of the comments already posted are the reason why I keep tight lipped on leaflet posts.
Tip no.1
Personalise your leaflet!

I agree. My business is built on leaflets. A very small bit of targeted knocking and I get much more than one per thousand.

Why do people think that because they delivered 5000 leaflets and only got a few customers that therefore leafleting diesn't work? If I canvassed in an area that is flooded with windies and only picked up 2 jobs, would that mean that canvassing doesn't work?

There is no easy way to say this, but some people on here are very blinkered and in some cases very thick.

WHEN

Leafleting does get you customers but it's an incredibly slow way to build a round. I built my last round with leaflets and it took about 5 years to get a decent bit of work together.
I sold that round last year and moved to a new county.
In the year since I moved I have canvassed a great round together and am now earning more money than I was after 5 years of leafleting.

No it isn't. You may have delivered 5000 at a particular time and left them sticking out of the letterbox and got £800 worth of work, but you can't be sure that if you tried exactly the same in the same place 6 months later that it would work again. It may be that the previous windy died three months before and so there was a captive market.

How many leaflets did you deliver? I am three years in and have a fantastic round.

I always post the leaflets right the way through!!! ;D
I Dont deliver 5000 in the same week it may take a month.
The same area may get 5 leaflets in the space of a month.

Is anyone catching on yet?
