I would not only look into design but also the distribution tactics.
Leaflets work wonders if done right.
If I said the last 5000 leaflets I had printed and disributed correctly brought me in over £800 worth of extra work to be cleaned every 4 weeks would you believe me?
I will answer that for you. NO, as wouldnt the majority of posters on here.
Too many concentrate on leaflet design (which needs to be decent) and not enough on distribution.
Hope this helps.
By the way I have built all my business through leaflets. (door knocked for an hour at the very start)
Hope this helps.

+1 I'd eat my hat if you got £800 of easy going 4 weekly work out of a 5k dist
I had a 7k drop done and of the top of my head it was around £450 first clean that included a £110 job
2nd clean in 2 months was maybe £150
That was done by jogpost who do it properly

But hey if you do have £800 out of a 5k drop well done but you will be a millionaire mate drop 100k leaflets that means £16,000 a month of regular work according to your figures ;))

So please advise we all want to be part of the farari owners club with you!

I would say that £800 of regular work is very achievable from 5k leaflets if the properties he has targetted are very large. For example if the house were £40 4 weekly. He would only need 20 houses from 5k leaflets. That works out to just one customer in 250 leaflets.

If you have limited time to leaflet bare in mind that to get round 5k of these type properties would take you a very long time as distance between each house/long drives etc. Whereas leafletting an area of terraced houses would be a lot quicker.

4 per thousand mate just sounds unrealistic ! if its true you have an absolute road to glory
on a smaller scale for every £4,000 you could set a staff member up turning over £40k a year i wish it was this easy

25k print and drop £1900
100 new customers £15 average thats £1500 4 weekly £19.5k a year

x2

50k print and drop £3800
200 new customers £15 average thats £3000 4 weekly £39k a year

x2

100k print and drop £7600
400 new customers £15 average thats £6000 4 weekly £78k a year

x2

200k print and drop £15200
800 new customers £15 average thats £12000 4 weekly £15600 a year

please tell us how you are getting 4 per thousand :D

Crystal, 4 new customers worth £40 per month per thousand leaflets dropped was my explanation as to how I would imagine kentkleen could get £800 of work from 5k leaflets.

Am I right in thinking you thought I meant something different?

I meant as in by that maths he was getting 1 new regular customer for every 250 leaflets dropped. Obviously these are very large homes at the £40 value mark hence why I made the point to state that it would take a long long time to deliver 5k to these type properties.

My job price average is a little over £11 So no 'massive' properties
Where the 5000 leaflets delivered in one massive drop? NO
Some of the comments already posted are the reason why I keep tight lipped on leaflet posts.
Tip no.1
Personalise your leaflet!
