Gardiners new yellow pole hose!
« on: October 07, 2013, 07:24:47 pm »
I ordered some new clamps a couple of months ago for my slx so while I was on phone to the very polite lady in the office I asked what their pole hose was like. I was told that the stuff they use now is a lot better than their previous lot! So I ordered some. In my opinion its worse than previous stuff I seem to spend a lot of time trying to untangle the stuff.

Anyone else find this plus what does everyone else use?

Had this problem with cleaning spot. Bought some back feb this year and its great when cold or warm, re purchased what i thought was the same hose 2 months later and it was terrible! The compound had changed and now twists and kinks. They were convinced that there was nothing wrong with it even when I gave it back to them in a ball twisted like a birds nest. Best they offered was 10% off my next order

I think it depends alot on how weel you store it, drill some brackets below the pole hanger about 1m apart and loop ot round instead of small loops!
I think the new stuff is alot more stiffer andwill last longer , the last stuff was forever getting thorn holes in it

Hi Klean
Take a look at this
http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=160318.msg1331785#msg1331785

I work with my wife and her pole hose is always tangled up if she uses my pole for a job same story all tangled up - same hose same pole yet I never have a problem.
As I said before couple times a day or however often just undo a clamp and spin the brush head clockwise or anti-clockwise a few times (sometimes up to 8 turns) you'll soon find out if which way to turn it - it will either make it worse or start to untangle.
Keep doing that whenever you clean your pole hose - usually after each job I hope! and you will have no tangles!!!

Great! The customers love her but chats a bit too much, >:(
Knows all the pets and kids names.
Keeps the book, writes the tickets.
I do all the heavy work over connys, 2nd storey, reeling in and out, poles ready etc.
She needed a part-time job after being made redundant - now she's got one she loves, except for the cold but no more part-time low pay, got hours to suit, no train or bus to work and still gets to chat all day!
