customer complaned

been cleaning a customers house whilst  she was out  , just about to  pack up   when she turns up and  asks if i want a  drink  , i politely  refuse as i  need to get round to my next client  , next thing she remarks that the windows are wetter than  usual , now  i have been cleaning hre house for 5 years with always good results so  i think ok   il explain  that its distilled water ect , ect , and that they will dry  perfect.  No she wont  have it, but they are too wet, Bloody hell what does she want dry water, this whent  on for a while , Finally lost my rag and said  how many times  do i have to explain it to you customers ect .chucked her  on spot.

              some people  are bloody impossible
     must point out  that i am always polite to  custies and this is a first.

Had similar and it was in the winter. She moaned they take longer to dry. i was speechless, we still clean her windows but we use less water. Its stupid!

I think its the time of year and they do take longer to dry. For example i once got cancelled and the customer said "don't do them anymore, they took four days to dry after you did them last time". So i think this is something we need to be aware of.

A few weeks back I had a customer complain (yet again) that she was worried that the water running down the bricks might cause dampness in her house.

Normally I am patient and would explain (yet again) etc, etc, etc, rain, etc, etc, and houses tend to be waterproof, etc, and they are made that way for a reason, etc.....

For some reason, during this year I'm no longer prepared to put up with idiots even if they pay a good price.

Guess what the outcome was?
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

had similar, benn cleaning for a year and was never home, one day she was, got text later that night saying im not happy please remove my number and dont contact me again, tried explaining and she didnt even reply aahh wel :)

There's a lot of Luddites who are opposed to WFP.
They just don't like the windows being left wet, they are so used to them being bladed off.
I have had loads of these especially converting a trad round to WFP.
The common complaint is they are "all runny" or "all streaky" ask them to show you it and inevitably they can't.
I do my own house purposely not regularly only about every 2 or 3 months and I whizz round them deliberately not taking half as much care as I would with a customer.
Guess what - they come out spotless every time.
Thing is not to let it knock your confidence in the system or your ability.
The distressing thing is some people are so stupid they can't overcome their prejudice or first impressions.
Unable to put out of their mind that even after the windows have dried and are clean that initially they were all covered in water so therefore they are not cleaned properly.

Some people are mental, but I've had similar.  I've had to explain that it just wasn't cricket to complain so long after a clean and if they ever had any problems a text, e-mail or phone call would be great; but when they first notice; not a month later.

Being the soft touch I am, I let them off with a payment and to be fair to them I've had no problems since and this was about two years ago.

The caller explained that his window cleaner had retired due to ill health and so required somebody else.
He then asked me if I used the "Brush on a Pole" method to clean windows?
To which I replied "Yes for 99% of the properties I clean."
He paused and then said "Well I don't think that will be suitable and maybe i'll continue looking for someone else."
So I gave him the spiel about wfp cleaning windows/frames/sills every visit and H&S aspects etc.
To which he replied "But I don't see how it can be any good, and my old window cleaner said you can't see what you are doing if you are cleaning an upstairs window while stood on the ground?".
I asked him if his windows had ever been cleaned with the wfp method, to which he replied "No".

So somebody who had never had their windows cleaned by wfp and previously used a traditional window cleaner who had never used wfp.
But had still made up his mind that wfp could not do a proper job and couldn't be convinced otherwise.  ::)roll

On more than a few occasions I've said to the customer on the first clean, 'I'll leave you an envelope, if you're happy with the clean, post me the money-if not, don't.'

My lads came back last week and said Mr **** has cancelled. Apparently his reason was that our water is killing the grass underneath one of the windows we clean. he said our water is obviously not as pure as we say it is  ???

............so that would be tap water then?

I just don't have the patience to go and see him and try to explain he is a blithering idiot who has no concept of what we do so therefore should keep his crackpot ideas to himself instead of making my apprentice think men above 60 have the intelligence of pond life.

So instead I will replace him with 2 intelligent young mums  ;)
