« on: October 04, 2013, 07:42:00 am »
Morning chaps,

I may have the chance to get level 1 qualified.

Does anyone have any ideas what sort of money the level guys are earning in London?

Cheers,

Gordon

I don't do abseil stuff but I heard about 18 months ago that they were getting £300-£400 a day.

None of my business but wouldn't you be better getting a job before you get the qualification? They have to be updated every 2 years.

If you get your level 1, you won,t be able to work unless you have a level 3 along side you. You cant work alone anyway, so going as a bonefide subcontractor wont work.
Knocker is about right, you may get a bit more if youre good, but that wont come for a while.

Thanks Aj,

I wouldn't be tendering for but to be part of someone else's team, I know a little bit about how the levels work with regards to having certain levels working with each other.

I know to gain higher levels you have to of certain amounts of time working at each particular level.

Like I say I was casting the net to see if I could get a bit more info.

Cheers,

Gordon

Just go for it, even if you treat it as another string to your bow. Good luck.

When you can easily earn £100 a day on the ground, why the heck would you want to risk your neck dangling from a rope for that money....even on level 1.

Your more likely to injury yourself on the floor than on a rope
