Got a job sat he says is wool carpet with weedkiller spilt on it

Any ideas?

fertiliser :) not come across this before may just flush or you may have a dye issue.

Some weedkillers have a strong acid in them and salt. The ones that take a while to work but kill off down to the roots are mainly water and a dye like John says.

If the carpet has a floral pattern you might find these areas have faded badly.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

The most common weed killers are glyphosate you could do a google on that, acidic salt as wynne has mentioned, if he has a fish tank in the house I would advise him to cover it when you attempt removal, would be good to know results have never heard of weed killer on carpets before.
