George import to WCP
« on: October 02, 2013, 02:15:02 pm »
Struggling to import a George database to WCP, tried following the instructions on their site, but not getting any luck.

Anyone experienced issues and resolved them before? If so, how?

Cheers

Why have you chosen WCP?
I thought that was no longer being developed or supported, may be wrong.

I've had it years, not a new purchase.

Bad idea to use it if it's going to be your only software with your client base on.

Because of the lack of support I have now lost almost two days work as I cannot access my client base at all.

I have emailed Brad to see if there is any way I can access the WCP database so that the data can be exported. I have previously managed to import most of the details from a worklist exported to a PDF file, but this isn't an option if you can't access your copy WCP due to licensing issues, etc.

If they are no longer developing/supporting WCP, I would hope that they would want to help me provide a migration path for you to another system. I would obviously import the data into Aworka, but you would then be free to export it for another system if you wanted to.

Fingers crossed for a positive response from Brad...

hopefully!

i dont use WCP but i agree you would think they would like to help people be able to move there data if they wished as they no longer updating it.. its just going to get more and more out of date.
