I would say to stick with the open and closed lengths that the big 2 have chosen.

There will be a few who would say that the shorter the closed length the better. So in your example you may opt to manufacturer a 5 section pole. The problem is that the same people will probably moan about the extra time and inconvenience taken pulling out another section every time they open and close the pole.

If you were to manufacture a 5 section pole, (your example again) then you would need to fit them with stops IMO, as cleaners, used to the longer lengths will tend to over extend them. Remember the arguements with cleaners over the stops on Gardiner poles and the Facelift poles that do'nt have stops.

I have a short Unger pole that I use on one job. Otherwise my SLX22 does me for everything else.

it is easy to have an extra section or not, i have that capacity.
The reason i ask is that the reach it pole mini use more sections, and people report this makes
The pole more rigid. Clamp are not cheap, and do wear out, so instead of inconvenience of buyng
More, then thought it will be good to supply a set.

 Poles wear faster than clamps in my experience with carbon. Might be different with aluminium. Collapsed length can be governed by clamp design too - what sort of clamps are you supplying? What materials are you using? What diameters will they be? What weights?

Will have my own stay clean system, that will eliminate grit between sections,
this will make the pole last much longer.
Will publish all the dimensions on the new website, the length was what concerned me more.

If this is true & it functions correctly then this will be a big step forward. I am very surprised that no one else has done this so far as it's going to be a massive benefit- providing the poles are good enough to begin with.
