A sole trader can make as much proft as he wishes a million if you wish to..

However with profits of 50k it would make more business sense to be LTD as you'd save a far whack of money running through limited. But you don't have to it is your choice.

If profits of £50k I would say LTD is the way to go

One man? Would be very tough to make that much after all associated costs- van, fuel, insurances, water, spares, New pole every now and then. Not to mention tax! You would have to be turning over well above the vat threshold.
I can't see it myself.

If you go limited your bank will look to increase interest on any loans to offset their increased financial risk.

Yes it's possible to make £50000 profit as a one man band.  Hard work, but completely realistic with the right setup and well run business

i would say most sole traders will NOT make anywhere near £50,000 a year AFTER tax,insurance and overheads.i would say its virtually impossible unless you live down south with lots of very well priced work and commercial jobs and working yourself into an early grave.
