Yeh i know that but i was wondering if anyone had found a way around that. A friend tells me you can install windows on a Mac, if so I presumed George would run on that.

Yeah you can dual boot a mac book.

Either load windows or iOS.

But I wouldn't trust that it would work on dual boot as it's a
Third party application

I was under the impression that if you partitioned and installed Windows on a Mac that you could run any program developed for Windows?

Third party small applications.

Mainly ones that only run in windows 95 and you have to use an emulator in win 95. They worked fine on pc. But not dual boot. God knows why

I have only ever used Aworka, but I really like it. Have a trial before making a decision on a Mac.

Anyone wanting to run Windows apps on a Mac should look at Parallels. Briefly, it lets you run Windows programs on OSX (the Mac operating system) without having to dual boot. I run on both my Macs and it runs all the Windows programs I can throw at it.

Just get a real computer & be done with it!!
I can't understand the consumer fascination with Apple products - - I admit they look good, and what they do they do well,... but they're so limiting and so expensive when compared to a windows based machine!

Oooohh! A heated debate!  ;) MacBooks are far better built than their PC counterparts and OSX is by far easier to use than the atrocity that is Windows 8. They are not limiting in any way compared to Windows based machines unless you rake gaming into account and even that gap is diminishing rapidly.

A generic shop bought pc is miles behind a mac, this is why i custom build my pc's

But the mac book air is awesome, same with the i pad minis.

I am sorting software for the minis this year, so we can use em in the vans.

i have had a macbook air for nine months now and i will never use a pc again .

Its like going from a skoda to an audi r8.

Use aworka and dont pollute your mac with archaic windows crap.

A mate of mine has been staying with me for the last 2 weeks, and bought his macbook pro with him,... I was helping him build a website & showing him how to make changes himself, so most of it was done on his Mac. It was slim, lightweight & pretty,.. but the lack of software is what put me off.

On the PC I can get freeware utilities off cnet.com that will do nearly anything i want,. its VERY rare I actually have to pay for software. On his Mac we had huge issues finding decent software for simple things like photo editing without paying big bucks,.. and thats what I found restrictive.

I've had George running on a mac with windows installed via bootcamp.  Basically when you start your computer up you decide if you want to use it as a mac or a pc.  I stopped using George in the end as although I thought the software was pretty good the fact that there was no iPhone or Android support it meant that the software was essentially becoming dated very fast.
