if your budget stretches then get a system fitting in your garage with a submersible transfer pump, it means there is less weight in your van, less annoying noises when your driving and a lot neater. Also in the winter it wont freeze you can just put some pond heaters in the garage tank and keep it warm and toasty ready to pump in your van on them cold mornings

I prefer the static system, you are producing water at home while you,re working so if you run low on water you can pop home and refill, with a van system when its gone its gone..

Research a few suppliers - it's not rocket science.  You need an RO (supplied complete by many companies), a DI cylinder, a storage tank (2nd hand 1000lt IBC - Google it) possibly a booster pump, pipework and fittings and perhaps a submersible pump unless you can site your IBC high enough to transfer the pure water by gravity.

Everything you need is available on line, including advice and instructions, it just takes a bit of time to research and learn and it will save you a fortune. ;)

And when you have issues with it (you will) you'll know how to fix them as you've set it up.
A 'service' from ionic or grippa or whoever ain't gonna be cheap.
