« on: September 26, 2013, 07:50:51 pm »
Hi all, i have a bad snail prob on a area, im using mono/unflagged/unflocked vikan brush head, and was wondering if using a flocked one would be better b4 buying one?? As this would save me getting the g101 out most of the time. Thanks m

I got fast flow takes off snail marks pretty easy with a little scrub. I had loads yesterday on a nursing home bloody drives me mad as the trail of a snail really stands out when you wet the window.  Mind you when I start with me hot wash when it gets cold the hot water takes the marks off so quick with hardly any hard scrubbing, don't really matter what brush you use I don't suppose.

A flocked brush would be more effective IMO.

Cheers, ive got hot washes on but only use them in extreme cases, im wondering if its the pure water thats attracting them?? as i never noticed this problem when trad? I know hot water would break down the slim faster but i was thinking if just changing brush head would help? thanks m

I used to worry about them until another windy told me that you don't see them when the window dries, now I just clean the window as if they weren't there not one complaint yet.

They come off easy if you scrub in the direction of the trail

Not with a MONO brush mate tbh, without a degreaser spray imo. I get this on a area where every window has grass/soil below. Thats why im thinking maybe the pure water is bringing them more so, but then again its the same as rain isnt it, so why would it? I was considering putting a little white rock salt down after cleaning 2 prevent it on the next 2 monthly clean, but that would be a pain. With the above replys im thinking a flocked brush might help without anything else. ? Thanks 4 the replys lads m.

yes buy a new brush, and ignore the advice on how it will make no difference if you clean as normal as you do and no one will ever know, good choice

Thanks. s.mac, if thats true and they cannot see it when dry, looking from inside outwards, then f**k it great? BUT nearly all of this glass on the bottom floor is well covered in slime. And the windows on this certain estate is open glass with no nets, so ive got 2 be on the ball with it. It would be good if i could go inside to have a gander after a norm clean, but thats not poss.

We probably didn't see them when trad as when you wet the window with the applicator it would be all soaped up with fairy liquid so with just the pure water the slime stands out more and yes you prob won't see the trails when window dries
