Ramp for van
« on: September 22, 2013, 01:49:30 pm »
Hi im looking for a ramp to pull my pressure washer in and out of van..prefer 6-7ft

i can use it from the van in summer, but i have it stored secure just now.... and an odd job crops up.

sick of asking people to help lift in and out.lol
i cant use bike ramps as the trolly has a supermarket type steering wheel and handle at the front.... like a 3 wheeler bike.

thanks for looking.

i use 2 scaffolding boards cut down,    push washer in,      place boards in side of my estate.,  the longer the better  to get in and out.

I have a great pair  ;D but not for sale.... You can get them on ebay....wheelchair ramps are best as they are light, strong & compact.
hope this helps

Thanks for the replies, cant use scaffold planks as , as i said , i have a central wheel at the front of trolley, which would get stuck in the centre of the planks at some point.

been looking at wheelchair ramps, thanks.

We use disabled scooter ramps.  They fold, they are lightweight and will take up to 350KGs.  They lock together as well and form a solid non slip ramp platform so good for 3 wheels or jockey wheel if required.  We use them so that one guy can get floor machines or similar in and out of van on their own.  Then if job demands and there are steps down or up to the property to get machines in they can also be used for that as well.  They were expensive but worth every penny and help me to comply with Manual handling guidelines.
