Really struggling to focus on incoming enquiries at the moment, which isn't good  

Since family holiday just cant get back into it, Booked up for the next 4 wks mix of domestics plus commercials, starting Sunday I will be working 13 days constant.

All the yrs of trading never felt like this

13 days?  Mike I have done 2 x 80 day stints back to back this year already without a break so absolutely shattered at times.
Mate you just have to get your head around it, we are now coming into the wet season plus it is going to get colder as time goes on, so get your quoting head on mate and sort those enquires out or someone else will if you don't respond.

Sounds like you need to take staff on! Although they can be a pain in the arse!!

Tried the staff route this year, didn't work, but we need to next year already.

Although with 2 x 80 day stints it could also be for you Roger!

The problem with staff is you need to be able to switch off and leave them to it (within reason)

Doesn't work for everyone, but I couldn't do what I do without staff.

Cheers Alan, just about to start another 30 day one without a break, so no time off till end of October I have around 10 decks to do, which is crazy for this time of year, but not complaining, and more going into November.

Staff is a must for us next year, or we won't be able to take on much more work spring time.

After Harry had to have open heart surgery at the start of the year I realized that there is more to life than working my b******s off so I put another van on the road .

The main problem is generating the work and keeping it coming in. I must admit I haven't got the same lead time as you but I am nearly always quoting.

But the joys of being able to do the school run, help Clare out and spending time with my family far outweigh any thing else!

Alan we have spoken... currently have 3 full time staff and now 3 part time, there are certain aspects of our cleaning which unfortunately only I can currently cover, due to Irata was looking at next yr to train up another team.

Last time we spoke (February?) I was trying not to work weekends but it hasn't worked out that way this year, due to the services we offer, so to say you have 13 days back to back sounds a bit whimpy to me.

Having said that you clean decking and chairs hardly physically demanding, drives me nuts but my mum cleans her decking and she is 78

That vid is far more professional then what we do, might get a set of the water proofs and footware they use though.
