I think you're on to something there !
Thankfully this is very occasional use.

I keep my old stuff.  They are handy as a back-up when a pole wears out.  I still use an Ionics multipole18 (15ft) as a stopgap occasionally.  It feels like training for tossing the caber these days.

i dont see the point in keeping old poles.give them to a windy just starting out or sell them on!

a 25 and 47 extreme  is all i need but ive also got a newish slx 22 with new clamps on as back up if need be.
price higher/work harder!

love the pic. I once used a 60ft tucker pole on a four star hotel, took all day and my arms wanted to drop off at the end of it.
Then I splashed out a thousand on an ionics pole and that was the turning point going from aluminium to carbon. Still got my original ionics pole but don't use it as far too wide base handle to hold comfortably and too heavy but would have been lossed at the time without it as gardiners didn't exixt back then.
I was one of the fortunate 10 windies to try out the superlite poles before they went on sale and gave my genuine opinion on using it and then upgraded from maverick fishing poles to the sl 2 modular poles which are still the best on the market with the exception of the extreme poles.

I think this pole is about 8 years old - just shows us how far window cleaning tech has come in such a short space of time.
