hot water sytsem pump controller

No you dont need one of those contollers, but be sure you put a heater in the van on freezing nights, as the gas heaters will crack if they freeze

The gas heaters have a brass valve at the bottom to be removed and drain the heater in freezing weather. Its a brass hand screw you will see it if you look underneath.It fits into the pressure valve were the cold goes into the works.


Mind you, maybe just check with Lee GLS he seams to think he is the fundy on all these gas matters ;D ;D ;D (joke)

Short answer is no you do not need one, The controller you highlighted here will operate with a Diesel heater. They can run Gas however it would need to be ordered as the software is different.
The controller does provide a frost protect mode.
