The good news is the economy is definitely on the up.The rise of the property lately is with doubt the proof as this sector was the first to fall remembered Northern Rock. That was the first crack that things were falling apart.
The Bab news is this turn around will take time before it filters through to the man in the street. It will not repair overnight  The collapse did not happen overnight

I feel  we have wethered this financial crises very well. So cheer up Mate,  Crack  open a larger and wait for the good times to roller  in. o out and find four more and don`t forget to get those four back when thongs improve. It will come I promise you that. At My age it might never come before I give my last croak..But I still stay optimistic its the only way in business or being self employed.
Remember this rule of thumb.Write it on your belly and don`t wash it off.
Business for the optimist
Employment is for the pessimist.

have you a programme ongoing of looking for fresh work ? if not you should have -whether its doorknocking 2 days a month or fliers or website you MUST MUST MUST be constantly bringing in fresh work steadily in my opinion

its like  bread, you gotta keep getting new or else all you are suddenly left with is stale crumbs !

on topic david we all have days where we lose work.swings and roundabouts.

ive ended up dumping work in some areas due to lots of messers, bad payers, very late payers and this is in a supposed affluent area!

just remember there is always another new customer just around the corner!i have over a grands worth of lost work on my suspended list on george but they ve been replaced with better paying, reliable customers.

our rounds are like shifting sand.always evolving.

put it in perspective.its 5 jobs lost.re double you efforts and canvass and leaflet if you need to and keep providing a professional service to your existing customers.

very best wishes

Yeah, you get crappy weeks sometime or other over the course of a year, just the way it is! Keep your chin up. Totally agree with Daz above. Do a bit of canvassing, it'll come in. Word of mouth can bring in new customers too. Just keep doing a quality job. You'll be fine.

All our customers are on 8 weekly, that is the norm for WFP,

give your customers the right deal and switch them to 8 weekly,
with WFP you are washing clean windows on 4 weekly cleans ???

Another poster who thinks the way he works is how everybody should work ???
I am 4 weekly as is the norm where I am, and I can assure you the windows are dirty when I clean them.

I have 4, 6, 8, 12 and 16 weekly customers...

Some of my 16 weeklys aren't even that dirty when I clean them - Whereas some of the 4 weeklys are filthy... It depends on where the house is, weather since last clean etc...
