Hi guys, need I little help here as per subject line. Customer had an old dog that messed up her living room carpet, wool cut pile beige in colour. I have advised her that urine stains on wool carpet are quite a mission to remove, but she wants me to give it a go with "a strong chemical". Now what that chemical might be? Hydrogen Peroxide? I know I have to get her to sign a disclaimer acknowledging the possibility of getting carpet discoloured.
Or do I just walk ?

Any thoughts appreciated!

Peroxide is my choice. Either as it comes it in Dye Gone format. Even then make sure you are being paid to treat the stain or attempt removal as I am sure you already know.

You could use Chemspec powdered coffee stain remover, it Sodium Metabisulfite, great for stains on wool carpeting.

Jamie, I have some Hydrogen Peroxide, but I suppose that not the same as Peroxide, is it?

Thanks Jamie, now do I have to be aware of anything in particular when using Peroxide. I had it in my shed like forever without making any use of it so am not quite sure how to use it.  Peroxide I have is 35% i think, do i need to dilute it, how do I apply it, dwell time etc. ?
