New Transit Custom
« on: September 09, 2013, 12:23:29 pm »
Had the the van since March, great van it looks like a focus front end and srives like a car. Only thing is the front rad grill the first week had a stone fly through and pierce the rad costing me £650 for Fords to fit new rad. A joke really if you look at the new Transit Custom the gaps are about 2" apart so you can stand in front of the van and see the rad clearly. I bought mesh off eBay and screwed it to the front can't be having that happening again !!!! Just letting anybody know incase you are or have one of these vans !!!

Cheers Archer yes £650 take the p cause these are new out they charge an arm and a leg !!! They were good they did it straight away and had van back next day so got m8 to help with his van to do. My work. I said about warranty but they wouldn't have it, they said they could see the gaps are bad and if this happens alot ill get my money back, I said I won't hold my breath !!! On the oldTrannys they have plastic grill behind

If you are being fobbed off by dealer, you should definitely get in touch with citizens advice on that one. It is clearly a design flaw, so you shouldn't be left out of pocket, esp for that amount of money.

Too much hassle Simon, I know I wouldn't win. If you ever see one of these vans take a look at the front grill how big the gaps are stupid design, they will probably change them next year !!!
