Websites are a fantastic way to get new business - not the quickest way, but definitely the biggest return on investment. ALL of my work the past 3 years has come from my websites.

There are loads of ppl doing websites (Myself included) but you should look at what you need & decide what solution suits you best.

You can DIY a site easy enough - Wixx, Weebly, Vistaprint etc etc are all inexpensive & easy to use. Getting a professional looking result from these can be a challenge, but its far from impossible.

If your budget is really tight, Studio Arts give unbeatable value for money. You mightn't get the most amazing website the world has ever seen, but it'll be a huge step up from a DIY job, and for what they cost you get a great deal.

If you've a little more to spend (£400ish) give me a call - I reckon I give great value for money too,.. I charge more, but you get more!

If you've real cash to splash, look around for a company that use their own graphic designers to produce really bespoke solutions - This usually costs around £1200, but you get a top quality result.

Whatever you do - make sure the domain is registered to YOU, and you have full ownership/access/control. If you ever have a falling out with your designer you need to be sure that your investment stays with you and you can still update it & make changes regardless of his cooperation.  ;)

Im guessing its down to keywords. Nat said to put coma's after each word, which I did but still no joy. Is it a coma with a space in between or no space? ie window cleaner,st neots or window cleaner , st neots? Does that make any sense?!!
Try searching window cleaner in st neots,or any of the areas around, my site is not listed in at least 20 pages,i got bored of looking after that. Should be wedgwoodcleaning.co.uk.
Ps site is still work in progress!!

Unless you are very bright, with a lot of time on your hands, then google website design with your location, and choose the top ranking ( below the paid adds ) company.

Do not expect masses of work to come in, but use it as one of your tools to gain extra work.

i found you on page 5 , i see you have a fair bit of competition . are you registered at yell.com,freeindex,thompson local etc etc , include your photos on freeindex  .  another  place to be found is sell-ur-stuff on facebook and set up a wedgwoodcleaning facebook page and "like" anything thats local should get you results  . gumtree is another one worth doing just the free ad, though you cant do a direct link to your website you can make it obvious to any reader who you are
on your website you need to put "st.neots window cleaning "under your business name in the header at the top of each page

Mine is spelt Wedgwood, no e in it.
Give up with it,think the vistaprint is a lost cause, would be better of getting a 'proper' site set up by people that know what they are doing.

I've not had any work come through the website directly but I've had quite a few go to the site from the leaflet and then contact me via the website so it's worth it just for that.
