I had an Nissan MD21 double cab before. Cracking wagon, until the German Government trebbled the road tax on 4X4's with no soot filters here and mine cost €1350 per year!!!

like the pics of these twin cab rangers, previously on the post about "l200 or boring van" I mentioned i was considering a landrover 110, I took a look at one and test drove it not having driven a landy before. Jeez i know they look "agricultural" but they drive it as well ! (at least the 1991 I drove did) I decided against it because I thought it would be a pig to drive in heavy traffic and although not really any longer than my pug expert it certainly felt bigger and harder to park in small spaces.
I like the idea of a pickup because the water tank would be isolated in the back and the front like a car.
My van has 3 seats, so I would need that from a pickup but double cabs look pretty long,
Can you get a "king cab" version of a ranger ?

The Rangers and L200s are very nice and easy to drive. Visibility is generally very good thanks to high driving position and large door mirrors. Land Rovers are a bit more agricultural but that's what defines them - they're virtually indestructible, parts are generally cheap and if you're a reasonably competent mechanic then servicing and maintenance isn't an issue. More than 70% of all Land Rovers made are still on the road - not bad as they've production since 1948 !

I got rid of my ranger when i broke my wrist arm and hand a couple of winters ago.
I was out of work for 7 weeks so had to sell that or the doblo so choose to sell the ranger as i had only just bought the ranger and hadnt put anything in the back yet.
 i have a 1.9d expert it depresses me to drive.
Also have a 307cc but think im going back to one vehicle as im looking at getting a unit for the business so less bills the better.
 think i might stick the car on ebay next week.get a new van and get rid of the one ive got.
Also got a big wedding to save up for in march.

The Navaras are pretty much the same payload wise, all around 1-1.2 tonnes. Great truck, was always at the cutting edge of the pick up advancing technology. They were direct injection before most of the others and adopted common rail very early on too. Many of them have suffered blown up engines around the 40,000 mile / £5 grand mark resulting in a huge row with Nissan / Renault. Apparently it's sorted now and Nissan are building them without any input from Renault so hopefully quality and reliability should return to pre-2000 stage when the D21 was in production. Some parts are very hard to source and / or astronomical £££. Whichever make truck you look at they're nearly all made in Thailand within a few miles of each other and are all very similar in basic design up until a couple of years ago.
