Looking for a new Pole
« on: September 05, 2013, 02:04:21 pm »
I was out today when I can across a mate with a new pole he was telling me about bought 6 months ago.. Well it was just a black carbon fibre, each pole section was thinner than my already owned Garener poles.
The thing that caught my eye was the wear from the clamps which lift up to release. He raved about this amazing pole after using fibre glass for  some time.I just could not believe the ware and damage this pole showed. The clamps bolts were missing and he had cobbled a fix that just looked to terrible. Sorry to say this is one pole I will defo not be buying. The thing that amazed me, all his old f/g pole looked better than his carbon pole. I, at first thought he was heavy handed,I now know better. So will be going back to my Gareners, but wanting to try something else just for a change.

Small but perfectley formed

I can see a lot of problems in the future with old retired shiners in rehab
trying to get over their Gardiner pole addictions. ;D
