« on: September 03, 2013, 05:16:27 pm »
As title, I need to purchase a pole to be delivered for work next week.
What pole do you think performs best for 5 story work?

If you recommend a pole please could you let me know it's full name so that i can check it out.

Many thanks!

Thank you for your reply, I will check out the specs of it, and you would recommend this over any other pole? have you had experience of more than one pole? Many thanks.

I've got this and the facelift 26ft aswell I've used a few other poles from other people but don't ask me what makes! Some people would prob recommend gardiner poles to you, but I find the facelift poles fine

Whatever I buy is going on finance. So it doesn't matter, as long as it's the best quality. That's all i'm bothered about.

Superlite modular

Hi windiewasher, ive only ever used telescopic poles, the thought of modular scares me, holding a pole up whilst screwing in another one with the other hand doesn't appeal to me.

If it's a modern-ish 5 storey, then the Gardiner Xtreme 44' should do it. You could buy the Xtreme 25 with two extension packs taking it to 44' and so, when your not doing the high did, use it stripped down to 25' for your everyday stuff. Light, rigid and so better for your body.  ;D

Yeah, I've been to the link. It does seem to be similar. Interesting to see.
I'm not sure on the prices of the Reach-it though. Worth a look for sure. I think Gardiners have the Xtreme 44' package on there list of sale items at the moment.

Haveing seen pics of someone using a xtreme 47 on a commercial on here bending allover the place i wouldnt touch one.
much heavier than the superlite aswell.
Its easy adding the section on superlite.

The extreme and the super lite are made ftom exactly the same carbon .
They are are essentially the same apart ftom the clamps .

Superlite 46 2000 grams
Extreme 47 2350 grams.
All poles will bend to a greater or lesser extent .

I sold my 46ft super lite to buy a 47ft extreme, they are two completely different poles

Edit

I was confused with a supermax,of which I've had and sold. The super lite is better than the extreme
