Hi guys don't want to start a war on prices but had a customer who first tried to haggle with me when i charged him £40.00 for conservatory and bungalow never did roof but did do 7 velux on roof in total glass amounted to approx 15 french double doors, had not been cleaned since year dot she said she could have got it cleaned in Edinburgh for 30.00 I found this hard to believe, so come on you boys in the capitol what would you charge.

Doesn't matter bud.
If you would be happy to do the job for £30, go for it.
If not, leave it.
In every village/town/city there will be some who are cheaper than you and some who are more expensive.

To answer your question though, £40 seems fair to me. East Midlands

Then I think you got a bargain it would have cost you a lot more than £10
to have the house shipped to Edinburgh and back.

At least you got to the haggling stage I priced a fascia and gutter clean a few weeks back and the
woman near fainted.
She went as white as a sheet and could hardly reply.
Believe me it was nowhere near £150 that would have killed her.

I priced a dormer bungalow yesterday which had 2 Skylite windows on each side of the apex, very large conservatory, 2 sets of patio doors, and 8 windows which included 2 above the conservatory in a recess and very difficult to get to.  I quoted £45 as a one off clean and the customer said you are joking, the last one only wanted £7. I told him to snap his hand off.

i had an ex customer who finally asked me to clean his windows again after we fell out 18 years ago over a damaged roof(that i fixed by the way!).small 3 bed semi with tiny conservatory.£15.then i noticed his UPVC was pretty dirty so i told him i could clean all his plastics and small roof for £80.he snapped my hand off!!so ive booked him in for when i get back from holiday! .happy days.

if any customer tries to haggle i walk away unless i know them well and like them.i will do certain jobs cheaper esp if its an old man or woman who live on their own.

I don't mind people who haggle, providing they do it nicely (you know what I mean). If I like the person and I think they'll be a good customer, then i'll drop a little bit. Or, as it's usually a first clean, I'll throw in a couple of freebies. Especially if it makes my next clean easier.
