standing orders
« on: August 16, 2013, 06:12:22 pm »
im switching some of the slow payers to standing orders its the way forward, however im looking for every 8 weeks a customer got back to me today saying she had to set up half the amount every month this means end of the year she will have to top up its not a problem but was wondering why dont all banks have 8 weeks 12 16 etc!

what do you do if you are faced with lack of standing order frequencies?

also im going to make a standing order form for those with online banking its pretty much just going to state how much and how often (will say 4 weekly for half the amount if they havnt got 8weekly) but how about for people who dont have online banking what should the form look like?

Use gocardless.com.
It's all done for you.
They take 1% Upto a maximum charge if £2.
Doesn't get easier surely

Kind of, you send them an email.
All they have to do is enter their sort code and account number, click 'ok' and that's it.

I have over £3000 a month paid via standing order and the form you need is called a standing order mandate. If you give me your email I can send you mine you would just need to edit it with your own details.

Also regarding different frequencies for the banks what I do is work out what the customer is paying per year and divide it by 12 to get the monthly payment amount. Everyone's a winner using standing orders in my opinion as its basically a salary for me, covers all the bills etc and the cash work is just spending money!
