I'm looking for a transfer hose - I've been using standard garden hose but the bore seems to make transferring the water so slow.

What do you use and where do you get it?

Conventionally, hoses really do exist.  Ultimately they're empty of inherent existence.  Both truths are valid.

Same as you garden hose and patience.

Best thing is to get some fire hose it's about 2" in diameter but you can jubilee clip it or tie wrap it onto any size fitting.
It's soft and flexible but tough and it rolls up very small
I do a lot of pumping out of stuff in my engineering job and it's the only thing we'll use.

No the ribbed stuff.  It looks the same as the one Ian_Giles uses, and that does the job no probs.

I use the machine mart 1 inch corrugated hose. It's much quicker than half inch garden hose.

According to my calculations if your going to use 1 and 3/4 inch the bore is about 13 times the bore of half inch.

So in theory should take you a thirtheenth of the time to fill tank.

Machine Mart also sell male and female connectors so you can have a small section of hose coming out of the tank, then a longer section to your  van.

Handy for winter when you don't want a 20ft loop of hose left outside to freeze..

This is the one I use on my sub pump takes literally 5 minutes to fill my 350 tank from my ibc .

That's exactly what I do with 1/2" hose but would like to do it with bigger.
Without connectors how do you switch off the pump without the hose coming out the tank? And with connectors you don't drag it on the floor and collect dirt which then goes in your tank and eventually to the pre-filter.

I use a 40mm reinforced hose. Can't recall where it came from at the mo, old age, but can move about 650 lts in 15 mins,
